Who are we? We are K and S. We are high school sweethearts. We have been married since July 6, 2009, but celebrated our wedding on July 24, 2010, which is what we consider our marriage anniversary. Yes, it's confusing, but sometimes the military makes you re-adjust your plans. We are from Northern California, and it will always be our home. We normally live in Las Vegas (well, as long as the Air Force decides it's our home), but I recently left to be closer to family while K is in Iraq for his first deployment.
K: K's childhood dream was to be in the military, and he is now serving his country in the Air Force and I am unbelievably proud of him. He has a job which he loves and can hopefully continue for a long time, both in and out of the military. He is the funniest person I know and I am completely in awe of him.
S: After being a military girlfriend, and then on active duty myself, I am now a military wife. Sometimes I find the role of military wife harder than being in the military, but I'm getting used to it. I love cooking, crafts, being a student again, and day-dreaming about the day K will be home again.
